I've successfully backed up my primary site i.e. xyz.com. Now I'd like to clone it to a sub-domain as a development/staging site i.e. stage.xyz.com so I can try out new stuff without jeopardizing the stability of my primary site.
Never restoring with XCloner I'm a newbie at this.
* My biggest concern is whether I use the automated feature within XCloner or doing it manually, what about the duplicate database being used in the same domain by the same host provider e.g. Bluehost. I assume there's a way to rename the sql db during the restore process?
Assuming that's not an issue, is it best to use the FTP automation feature or just follow instructions I saw regarding manually cloning? Are there restore files I should manually add to the sub-domain before attempting to restore?
Thanks in advance for any help!
