Hi. I'm just starting out using WordPress and today I decided to use XCloner to backup my WordPress blog. So I've downloaded XCloner, I've placed the folder in /wp/wp-content/plugins and activated XCloner in my WordPress administrator interface.
I'm having trouble setting up: Backup Store Path & Temporary Path.
Both are coming up RED in the XCloner Manager and it says: "invalid directory
So far I've only attempted to figure out how to set up the Backup Store Path, but have been unsuccessful. This is what I've done:
- In the root folder on my server I created a folder titled "wpbackups". So the path would be:/wpbackups
- Using my FTP program (Filezilla) I right-clicked the wpbackups
directory and selected "File Attributes…". In the Change File Attribute
window I typed "777" in the permissions numeric value text field which
marked all permissions as "Allowed".
- Then in the XCloner Manager, Backup Store Path I typed: /wpbackups
But this isn't working for some reason. Can someone please help?
My knowledge of these things is very limited and I'm afraid to mess something up.
Thanks!
