xcloner, I'd have to say, has an elegant front end, and is very intuitive, I'm sure the problem is with me.
I am self-hosting a Wordpress site, running on a Windows server under IIS.
I've used xcloner to create a backup of the site, it comes to about 1.6gb as a .tar file
I've installed xampp on a local laptop
I've used bitnami to create a local wordpress blog, and installed the xcloner plugin on that site
I've copied the backup file of the other site file to c:\exampp\apps\wordpress\administrator\backups, and run xcloner
It finds the .tar file successfully, and unzips it successfully, but it allows ME to decide where it unzips to. I suspect that these files should go somewhere other than into the directory which contains the original .tar file?
I hope this makes sense to someone, I'm battling to get my head around it myself.....
