Hello,
Sorry if my question would seem dumb, as i'm more of a Joomla user, and in Joomla, the editor's default setting for url behaviour is set as relative to base domain, thus when moving a Joomla site to another domain, all images inside articles are kept with unbroken source urls.
In WordPress i noticed that when i open a post with images i see there absolute urls for images, example src="http://maindomain.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/imgo1.jpg", which indicates me that restoring a WordPress site backup to another domain using XCloner would lead to all images in posts having a broken source url, because the main domain would change.
How does XCloner deal with this issue? How do you move a WordPress site to another domain while keeping post images source urls unbroken?
Thanks a lot!
XCloner does not replace the absolute paths in the DB, you need to use another plugin for search and replace like https://wordpress.or.....d-replace/ for this.
