I recently made the jump from Joomla to Wordpress. A backup plugin has always been important to me and this one seems to be exactly what I needed.

I followed the instructions but accidently deleted the tar.php xcloner.php files. However, I do have the actual backup itself.

I manually uploaded it and extracted the files. The front page loads fine but all the links point to the subdomain I was testing it on and was trying to move it from.

Can anyone offer any hints on how to put this right? I can't even login in as it jumps straight back to the subdomain link.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well, thankfully the site seems to be resolved. After extracting the zipped folder onto the new domain the mysql database all still pointed to the previous address. Using a tool provided here: http://interconnecti.....databases/

I was able to search and replace all references to the old domain in the mysql database in just a few steps and it just took minutes.

Anyway, my rough start with this plugin was my fault, but I will definitely keep using it and most likely upgrade to the paid version at some stage.

Maybe this will help someone else sometime.

Hi Martin, please try and follow the restore proces as described here /wiki/index.php?title=Restore_Backup#Restore_Backup_.E2.80.93_Manually , the restore you did there is incomplete and the two sites are sharing the same database.

THanks for the reply. Does this still require the two .php files? It seems like from reading the link you gave it does. The problem is that I deleted them accidently from the server before I could download/move them.

Yes, but you can easily recover them from the XCloner download package, they are the same! Ovidiu
