Hi there! The plugin seems to fail after processing 1040 files, can you tell us what is the size of the estimated backup and what is the size of the created backup when the process fails?

The simple way to debug this issue, is by opening the administrator/backups/perm.txt file and look between lines 1040 and (1040+numbers of files to process per request option you've setup in the XCloner Config), do you notice any large files there? Usually you might encounter a timeout from the server when trrying to archive a large file, so try and exclude that and see if you have anymore issues. If there are several large files, then maybe try and further decrease the files to process per request and see if it helps!

hi, i cannot follow you, because im not a geek, :-). i cannot understand, why eveything works fine before i  made the last upgrade of the plugin and now it does not.

i decreased the number of files to 60, i got now a backup with over 200mb less than that one i made before your upgrade. i cannot use the  ajax funktionality, because than this error appears as well. so thomething is wrong. i use your plugin on several installations an i cannot use it now on different server.

hmm. isnt there any help, i can understand? what i have to do exaclty??

thx

if you like, you can disable the ajax mode inside your XCloner Config->System tab, and select the Normal mode for the "Backup refresh mode" option, this will switch to the backup mode of the previous version. I am not sure if that will help much since the timeout you receive is from the server, but maybe i am missing something.

One more thing, what is the disk space available on your current site? if you have reached your quote, usually this would explain both the timeout and the smaller backup size.

I got the exact same error after 1200 files.

I turned off compression and the backup works fine.

Maybe you can do that as a workaround too until the true cause is found.
