OfflineHi, I have succeeded in cloning a site after a few tries - getting settings right, then finally after getting all my posts in wp-admin but not in browser discovering that the saved custom permalink structure needed changing.
This software has really helped, even faithfully cloning all the geo data.
What I want to know is if XCloner can import this new cloned site into a single category on existing site, eg:
domain.com is cloned to domain 2.com/dir and tags and cats are changed to the same as on the target: domain3.com
The last bit I can't do: I want now to import the wp installation on domain 2.com/dir to a category on an existing wp blog on domain3.com
WP's native importer unfortunately doesn't seem to work with geo-mashup data, so I am looking for a plugin that can do this last bit, or how to use XCloner to do it
Thanks

XCloner can only restore the data is has in the backups in the same format, it does not have a merge function to put the data into another site, you might need to look into other plugins for this

Thanks. So it would overwrite the entire exixting site. Any recommendations?
