Hi,

Thanks for a great plugin...I hope I can get it working 🙂

I have been able to backup my site and clone the site successfully, however when I try to restore the database I'm getting hundreds of MYSQL errors.  They all say "Duplicate entry."

###MYSQL error

Duplicate entry '244' for key 'PRIMARY'

###On Query:

I've been clicking "To skip this query, click here to Continue" but I don't know the ramification of this.  I am not a programmer, just learning as I'm going. Any advice you can give me?

Thanks,

Gloria

Hi Gloria, when restoring, did you use an empty database?

No...I just checked off to copy the existing database.  I actually restored the backup at another location on my server so that I would have a clone site to use as a backup and to try things out on.  So I just tried restoring the database at the new location.  Should I have created a blank database and restored it there somehow?

Thanks,

Gloria

When restoring, you need to provide the mysql details to your new database, and not the old one, so make sure you use there references to a new empty database, it should help! Please also check the XCloner manual, it provides there an easy to follow guide for restore.

Thanks for your help.  I created an empty database and referenced that one where it asked for the SQl database name.  I was able to complete the restore process, however now I'm getting the following error whenever I click on a post:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or
misconfiguration and was unable to complete
your request.

Please contact the server administrator,
[email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred,
and anything you might have done that may have
caused the error.

More information about this error may be available
in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error
error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any ideas what went wrong??

Thanks,

Gloria

You might need to check with your hosting support on that, or check the site error log, usually all 500 errors are logged there! My guess is that probably something is wrong with your Permalinks or the htaccess rewrite , so try and recheck that.
