Bill, the correct folder path should say administrator/backups , notice the s in the end, could you post a screenshot of your Info tab?

Sorry Ovidiu,

Sloppy of me, but the path does actually end in 's', as per this image:-

..and this is how my general tab looks:-

Thanks

The Backup Store Path should be a full path, starting in your case with C:/

Are you able to generate a backup? If so, i would advise to disregard the Temporary folder message, it might be a local php issue, make sure you are using also the latest version of XCloner from our site; otherwise i would advise to apply full writing permissions for all users on that directory, i remember the double slash issue being fixed, however the presence of it doesn't have any effect

Regards, Ovidiu

One more thing Bill, which i took it for granted, does this directory exists C:/wamp/www/drupal-6.19/administrator/backups ? It needs to be created in your Drupal root or Server Start Path root directory before you can start  a backup.

Hope it helps! Ovidiu

Bill, as Ovidiu pointed out that was my problem. XCloner does not create automatically the backup folder, so that folder needs to exist.

I also though it was a problem with the double slash, but my problem was actually that the folder did not exist

Hi Ovidiu,

No, I can't perform a backup and I think it because I have a screwy permission issue somewhere. The problem message I get is:

"Your backup directory C:/wamp/www/drupal-6.19/administrator/backups is not writeable or does not exists!"

That path does exist though: http://www.screencas.....000da97a59

thought my permissions were OK: authenticated user can read/write all down that path to backups:

http://www.screencas.....c56f1af35b

But obviously they are not, so it must be something I just can't see right now 🙂

Many thanks for the very prompt advice. Much appreciated.

Bill

Ahh, check your administrator folder, it's misspelled 🙂 missing an "i" after "admin"

Sorry for raising something that was entirely my fault 🙂 I must learn to pay more attention to the details!

Thnaks again Ovidiu, dehcbad25.

The support in these forums for xcloner is outstanding

It happens. It happened to me yesterday (with another program thought) where it would not work, and it took me 20 minutes to realize the drive letter changed (Windows and its drive letters :p)
