I may use Xcloner if I can just get past the login issues. What is it with wanting to change my password? All I want is to try this out without getting into coding. Please help

Make sure your php.ini session.save_path option poitns to a valid path on your server, please check with your hosting support. Otherwise, if php sessions don't work, neither will the XCloner login.

Hope it helps!

I have the same issue. I read you several times that is needed to fix "php.ini session.save_path option", but especifically what we exactly need to pledge to the hosting manager?  I have no other problems (in many websites I have) with "plugins instalation" or PHP options...

Please give us a hint...

Exactly that, please ask them to make this variable

session.save_path

so it points to a valid writeable path on your server…

Hello.

I cannot login at all.  I enter admin, admin and press "Login" which then clears everything while keeping me on the login page. Not sure if this solution would help me as well or not.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you 🙂

If you are running PHP via FastCGI Process Manager (php-fpm) then there is a second place to configure the session save path. On CentOS 6.x on my VPS host, it's in /etc/php-fpm.d/www.conf and the line looks like:

php_value[session.save_path] = /var/lib/php/session

I had to change this to the session path I wanted. As an aside, /var/lib/php/session didn't even exist, thus the problem …..

Hope that helps….
