hello Xclone,

I succeeded in cloning a few websites with Xcloner. But I have problems with the permissions of the files and folders of the new website

I can't do anything: Cannot create a new folder, edit files, update plugins, upload any files etc...).

 

To solve this I have to ask the hosting company every single time to change the ownership (from Apache to my own; pcaln)

But how can I solve this structural?

I tried with and without 'Restore files permissions' . Both didn't solve the problem.

When restoring, simply use the ftp mode from XCloner to restore files, or if it's simpler, extract the backup and upload files manually then restart the restore process with Skip files restore option checked.
