Hi. I am trying to do a backup on a local WAMP server website but it is telling me to make the ./administrator/backups directory writeable.

I have tried several times to uncheck read only on the folder but it always reverts. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to chmode this folder so I can backup please?

I am using windows XP

Thanks in advance,

Doug

All configured paths should be absolute server paths, if you are unsure about that, reinstall XCloner and leave the default settings as they are!

Hi. Yes, they are absolute. I just shortened it in the post. The path to the folder that it says needs to be writable is:

http://localhost/Res.....or/backups

I have been researching everywhere and cannot find a solution. Is there maybe a workaround since it is all local?

Thanks for any help,

Doug

Could you post here a screenshot after your XCloner Config Info tab?

Hi. It's difficult to post a screenshot on this forum but I did find out that my WAMP/XCloner installment on Windows 7 has the exact same configurations and does not have this problem. It must be a Windows XP problem. Have you ever heard of this problem before?

Thanks,

Doug

Hi. I figured out how to post an image to this forum and here is the configure screen. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Doug

The paths you have there are not valid, please reinstall XCloner, it usually picks the correct Store and Backup paths by default!
