Backed up and successfully copied XCloner backup file of local WordPress instance, XCloner.php and TAR.php files to:
http://s328140129.on.....nehome.us/
after which I ran the XCloner.php script.
I thought success was at hand for immediately afterwards I DID get the WordPress home page at the above URL
but as soon as I tried to navigate to ANY other page I received a:
Error 500 – Internal server error
An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.
Thinking this was perhaps an issue with permissions, I did a chmod 777 ./ -R to recursively eliminate any possible permissions than may have been demoted in the backup or restore process. (And yes I know this is not good security practice, but it was an expedient for troubleshooting.) In any case, this did not fix the problem. Also tried accessing the wp-admin console but got the same error.
I also looked into the wp-config.php file and noticed the following excerpts which looked a bit odd.
/** The name of the database for WordPress */
define('WP_CACHE', true); //Added by WP-Cache Manager
define('DB_NAME', 'db362496149');#bitnami_wordpress');
/** MySQL database username */
define('DB_USER', 'dbo362496149');#bitnami');
/** MySQL database password */
define('DB_PASSWORD', 'prototype');#6a09894c69');
/** MySQL hostname */
define('WP_SITEURL','http://s328140129.on.....');
define('WP_HOME','http://s328140129.on.....');
define('RELOCATE',true);
define('DB_HOST', 'db2895.perfora.net');#localhost:3306');
THREE of the above define statements have clearly been substituted via the script but the original values have lingered in such a way that perhaps they're causing PHP syntax and/or database problems.
I don't think the original WordPress instance being part of a bitnami stack should be a factor, but would be grateful if any one could offer any suggestions as to why only the home page works after the restore.
