My website was in a linux server, but server was hacked (http://www.zone-h.or.....d/14910502) and now i was "invited" to
move the site to a windows server!

I created all folders again, directly in the httpdocs folder, as instructed to do, and had to install worpress again.

I created 1 data base with the same name as b4 and same user and password that i "backuped" from the linux server...

All looked ok, as the images below show...

But in the final step, i get this as result...

What am i doing wrong, please?

Try accessing directly the XCloner.php script from your new hosting account, it should help.

You can find more details here /wiki/index.php/Restore_Backup#Restore_Backup_.E2.80.93_Manually regarding the cloning process.

That error indicates the mysql user you are using doesn't have permissions to access the restore database, so i would advise rechecking that...

OMG...

Hi, Ovidiu... i think found the problem...

In older server, database was automaticaly created starting with "blues_" then we could pick the rest of the name.

The message showed this "could not connect to blues_wdrp1", because the database is now "bluesbra_wdrp1", and i didn't realize it before.

The thing is: in this server, database is automaticaly created starting with "bluesbra_"...

Is there a way to solve this? Or must i start to post allllll stuff again?

🙁

Thanks again  in advance

You should be using the new database name bluesbra_wdrp1 when doing the restore, and not the old one, it should help..!

LOL yeah... i know... but I do not think I will have to move the entire site, and that the new server would create a different name, automatically. Do you know if there is a way to edit a database name, then i could make another backup?

Tks again!

The database name is not important, you can use anything on the restore screen as long as you have those details created on the new location, so to confirm, the restore database name is not dependent on the original database, XCloner creates a full dump of the original mysql database into a file, and on restore, the data from that file will be processed.

I would advise extracting the backup archive manually on the new server, and start the XCloner.php process with the "Skip files restore" option checked as well as the "Incremental sql import" option UN-checked.

Hope it helps! Ovidiu
