remote ftp backup with large file size

Dear support,
We have problem with remote ftp backup option using CRON
same setup / configuration works on a smaller website (backup file size 30MB). xcloner did the job pretty well which sending my backups to my ftp daily without any problem.
another website 's backup file size is around 1.25GB.
we can only receive 20-30MB portion of the complete backup delievery to backup ftp server.
both websites are in shared hosting environment.
any suggestion??

You are probably running into a transfer timeout, check with your hosting support on this. Check as well that the destination ftp server has enough disk space available and it can actually host files that large, some hosts have limitations on the file size.
