Restore directory issue|Wordpress Support|Forum Archive|XCloner

Hi,

I have successfully backed up a Wordpress site (MySQL and files) but when I go to restore it to a new site, it won't let me restore the the right directory.

I get this error message "Directory /home/.sites/85/site23/web/ is not writeable or does not exists! Could not continue..." but this is my main website directory where I want the site to be so that when someone types in http://www.mywebsite.com it resides there. The /web/ directory permisssions are set 775.

I can restore it if I add create a new directory in /web called /newsite/ but this is in the wrong location.

How can I restore the site to the new site http://www.newsite.com?

Thanks

Craig
