Hello All,
Just started using Xcloner to test out some site backups/mirroring and I seem to have a small issue I can't solve.
Wordpress 3.03
Steps I took.
1. Installed Xcloner with no issues.
2. Kicked off a backup all is good.
3. scp'd the backup file to backup server.
4. untarred the site data
5. imported the db manually
mysql -u root -p <dbname> < database-sql.sql
6. I tweak the wp-config.php (when I have too if I need to point to localhost)
The site loads but there are theme specific settings that are not being activated. I check the actual db backup file database-sql.sql and I see the settings that are missing in the file. I asked the theme developer and they tell me this:
"ThemeFoo stores all of the Layout & Design Options in the WordPress options table."
I am not sure what I am missing.
I have tested the same process with other WP sites that use different themes and they restore perfectly.
Any pointers?
Thanks!
Lee
Hi there! Try and check the wp_options table from the original site and compare the number of records with the ones restored on the new database, are they different? If so, try and locate the missing records and see if the themes options are there
XCloner does not exclude any records from your tables when creating the backup, but if it helps, try and run repair query on your original database and try the backup again!
