Hi, sorry for the possibly/probably stoopid question but I have struggled for a number of hours trying & failing to get the folders correct.

I have created using Cpanel a folder called 'administrator' with a sub folder called 'backup'

I get the following results, what am I doing wrong??

Backup Start Path Check: OK (/home/cumbriaw/public_html/)
Backup Store Path Check: OK (/home/cumbriaw/administrator/backups)
Temporary Path Check: Invalid directory (/home/cumbriaw/public_html/administrator/backups)
Authentication: OK
Backup Ready: NO

I was having the same problem as Richard, but I got it worked out.

here is mine:

Backup Start Path: /home/username/public_html/
Backup Store Path: /home/username/administrator/backups
Tar path or command: /home/username/public_html/administrator/backups

Backup using Server Functions: Both to inactive

The info tab:

Temporary Folder /home/lmlarrys/public_html/administrator/backups  is writeable
Backup Start Path /home/lmlarrys/public_html/ is readable
/home/lmlarrys/public_html/ is readable /home/lmlarrys/administrator/backups is writeable
Tar utility server path: /bin/tar
Mysqldump utility server path: /usr/bin/mysqldump

Everything worked, and I don my first backup.

Thanks

Larry

Simply create the directory /home/cumbriaw/public_html/administrator/backups/ and you should be fine!

Thank you, of course that worked. (/home/cumbriaw/public_html/administrator/backups/)

I thought I had read in the instruction 'not to create in public-html'

Should I remove my earlier folders:-

/home/cumbriaw/administrator/backups/

Yes, no need to have that folder there unless you want to store the backups outside the public_html/ directory
