Hello,
I am trying to build a website to work with. Before working further to it i just wanted to be sure if i could backup the whole thing and restore the site when Necesary.
Most important was that it must have an option to move my website to another domain or place.
I am trying this plug in and i cannot work it out.
Making a backup is very easy. its working like a charm.
The webpage backupped is on the danpajo.com domain
I want to appear the restored site under danpajo.nl. This domain is for now forwarded to the map testsite in my root. Now the start of the root positioning of danpajo.nl is that point.
Despite what details i give i get the an error message: Unable to read the database backup file
Then i thought it must be the domain forwarding. So I unplugged danpajo.nl off the map testsite.
I made the Install directory /home/strato/http/premium/rid/29/67/51662967/htdocs/testsite/
the same as the url http://www.danpajo.n.....estsite/
Still the error,
I tried to do it with the danpajo.com credentials also.. problem there was the domain was forwarding to a map fromwhere to start its file structure.
But even after taking away that problem.
The same error message is showing op.
Unable to read the database backup file /home/strato/http/premium/rid/29/67/51662967/htdocs/testsite//administrator/backups/database-sql.sql , database was not imported!
I noticed the double slash so i removed the slash after testsite in my Install directory settings.
Still the same error message is showing up. But without the double slash before administrator .
Can you tell me what i am doing wrong? or give me any advice?
thanks in advantage

Hello,
I select all parts of the backup, upload them to the destination place. When they are all there i start extract them. That's working fine.
Then i have to click continue.. but the error message still appears.
I opened the uploaded .tar file and went to the administrator/backup map. In there there is only a index.hmtl file and no .sql file.
What am i doing wrong?

Okay i found the sql problem
There was a huge file in my backup . I deleted it and now the sql file is loading.
After the extraction of the files and the database setup its telling me everything is working now.
When i go to the site danpajo.nl i get a white screen.
After looking in my files on the new domain i noticed not all folders and files are restored.
I miss the plugins for example.
Then i tried to manually download the .tar files, upload them to the new domain with XCloner.php and TAR.php with it. Start XCloner.php manually and fill in the details.
Same thing is happening. Not all files and maps are restored.
What is wrong now?

Okay,
I've sorted it out a littlebit more.
I noticed i had two maps in my root. a Blog map and a tmp map with to files in it. I removed both maps because i couldnt find out where they are for.
After removing the two maps the xcloner script did his work. I cloned the site, extracted the files and everything went on the new server.
Then i updated my database and this went good also. Database is filled with my details.
Then after going to the new site danpajo.nl i get a white screen. I tried to go to danpajo.nl/wp-admin also a white screen.
i am almost there i guess but i cannot find out how to solve this white screen problem.
When i compare both databases the new database is smaller as the old one is!
I hope you can help me out.
