I had a web designer who went south on me. I managed to store the whole backup on my computer before they killed the hosting thus killing my site. I am back on a fresh wordpress page, installed the same theme and want to get this backup from the computer up and going. There is no upload button I can find, or is there?? I was thinking I would put it into FTP, but I have no idea where to put it in there?? Any help would be great? Thanks

Ok, using FTP I found   /public_html         backups. I dropped it in the same spot I created a new one just so I knew where to put it. I went back to wp-admin xcloner view backups. Ok, here we go, got it. I pressed clone and clearly messed up the instructions because when I pressed install files directly I got

Error establishing a database connection

The whole thing is a mess. I guessed the root path because I haven't got a clue what I am doing

Help please? Now I am calling Bluehost to kill the whole thing, reinstall Wordpress and teach me how to do this myself for the next screw up.

Please check this restore method /wiki/index.php?title=Restore_Backup#Restore_Backup_.E2.80.93_Manually , it should help. Simply create a new database, upload the restore script and backup archive and launch the restore script, should be pretty easy.

If you would like, feel free to open a support ticket and we can help you with the restore as well. the 1 year support plan has include one free site transfer/restore.

Regards, Ovidiu
