I have the following problems: 

'A file permissions error has occurred. Please check the permissions on the script and the directory it is in and try again.'

This is happening on a subdirectory on my website - trying to test a backup - permissions 777.

Done this in the past with no problems.

 

Trying to test a backup - restore to a localhost - results in numerous database errors and no access to a funtioning bckup site.

 

Any ideas, anyone, please?

Reset permissions to their default value, try 750 for folders and 644 for files, it should help.
