I installed and configured XCloner correctly. However, when I attempt to generate a backup I receive the following error? Thank you for your help on this...

There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server, try again or contact the developers!

Details: error -- undefined

JSON
url:
index2.php?option=com_cloner&task=refresh&json=1&startf=150&lines=7475&backup=backup_2011-07-22_21-42_domain.com-sql-nodrop.tgz&excl_manual=

Notes:

I attempted the following solution but that did not work>>

XCloner Config->System tab you can decrease the files to process per
request from the default 100 to a smaller value and see if it helps.

Try and leave the Compress backup files option to No and see if it helps! Additionally, make sure you have enough free disk space to store a full backup.

Try switching the Compress option backup to No, it should help!

I have exactly the same problem.

My host recently made updates to my server.

They have tried increasing the msql limits, etc.  Xcloner no longer works

There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server, try again or contact the developers!

Details: error -- undefined

JSON url: index2.php?option=com_cloner&task=refresh&json=1&startf=200&lines=8618&backup=backup_2012-02-14_11-16_www.wrightplace.co.uk-sql-nodrop.tar&excl_manual=

So I am now left with a solution that worked and no doesn't.

Hi M, have you tried decreasing the "Files to process per Session" option to a lower value like 10 inside the XCloner Config->Sytem tab?

Usually clicking the Retry button might also help! Ovidiu

Yep,

Tried that.  I've got my host loking at it also - nothing works.

Looks like I'm going to have to try to find something more reliable.   Pity - it's working on 3 other sites with no problem.  My host will be updating those soon - so, I guess, I can expect xCloner to cease working on those also.

Cheers,

M

If you care to open a support ticket, we could look into the issue and see if it's something else we can adjust as well as check what is causing the exact issue.

So trying to restore.

Baffled.  Where are the restore scripts that are referred to in the xcloner screens?

I have the backups OK but

'Note: if this process fails for any reason, you need to do this:

   	1. Download the backup on your computer
   	2. Download the restore script, all files from directory administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/restore/
   	3. Upload both backup and restore script to your restore location
   	4. Launch XCloner.php in your browser and follow the restore screen as specified below'

None of the above seems to exist?

I am, clearly not understanding this process at all.

For wordpress, the restore script is located in the wp-content/plugins/xcloner-backup-and-restore/restore/ folder, both files present there.
