hi

i have moved my site to a new server but also with a new domain name all went ok but when i login to the joomla control panel and click on any link it sends me back to the old control panel to login again?on the old server has anyone got any ideas how i can sort it need the site on new server and new domain

have you checked if the .htaccess file has references to the old site? also, any plugin or cache that might cause that functionality?

yep just had a look at one file there is ref to old site do you know how many and what files a would have to change to the new one?

yep got that bit fixed but seem to have abit missing when i want to install or import anything i get this as a error

  • JFolder::create: Could not create directory
  • JFolder::create: Could not create directory

not sure what that means do you have a clue if not will have a look around

Try and update the tmp path from your Joomla Global Config and see if it helps!

tried all i can the new site is showing but if i try to alter anything in the control panel i still get sent to the old site and  i check all the files and updated them but still no luck
