Hello there !
I'm using Xcloner since... one hour ^^" And during a backup, i've seen this message :
There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server, try again or contact the developers!

Please open the administrator/backups/perm.txt file and look between lines 3500 and 3600, do you notice any large files you could exclude from your backup? Ovidiu

Damned ! I haven't any perm.txt file in this folder - just the index.html :-/

Did you make any changes from the default XCloner config details? If not, then you should also see the backup_2012-09-07_13-31_hassisol.fr-sql-nodrop.tar file unless you have cleared that folder manually... otherwise, recreate the backup and follow my above advice...

I forgot to mention : the backup always stopped itself approximately at 40%.

I have the same issue, but I have nothing large between line 3500 and 3600
And if it helps at all, I am not on a dedicated server. That may be the issue and if so it's no big deal to me because it will still do the Database it self and I always download a >Zip of my website files every week manually anyway.
But any idea's would be cool as well 🙂

Check as well your disk space, the 3500-3600 lines reference was only for that specific error return, notice the startf=3500 from the error details....

Like I said, the download of the backup stop itself at approximativly 40% why I haven't any perm.txt file in this folder.
Any idea ?

I've got a similar error. Everything used to work fine on this site. I just updated to Xcloner 3.1. I don't manage the server though and there have been some issues lately on it. How do I track down where this problem is coming from?
