Hi,
Yes, I see some files created in the backup folder.
After changing it to normal mode, I see the db backup completed successfully. I also verified by checking the file in the backup directory.
Database backup:
LegalAssistanceDB: Backup Completed ( 4.66 MB )
Backup failed, please check your tar server utility support!

I had a similar problem:
I have prepared a website in Joomla 3.1 in a localhost in my PC using XAMPP v3.2 and I want to transfer it (clonate it) in a Linux server online.
Xcloner was regularly installed in Joomla 3.1 but when I started the backup the error message:
Backup failed, please check your tar server utility support!
was displayed. Is Xcloner not suitable in Joomla 3.1?
Have you any suggestions?
Thank you
Arrigo

I I am using a PC with windows 8, where are running XAMPP v3.2 and Joomla 3.1 for local development.
I have installed XCloner to transfer the built website to an internet host.
Download some screenshots here

No special setup was done
If you need more information, please notify me.
