Hi.
First I want to thank the great work of XCloner.
I'm using XAMPP version 1.7.3. and Joomla 1.5.22. I just installed XCloner version 2.1.1.
I've only done the following:
Settings(or configuration) -> I entered my details correctly. -> Click in Save button and……
XCloner is in infinite loop!!!!!!
Uninstall XCloner and Install XCloner -> and the same happens again.

Hi there! Does this thing happen only when making changes to the Config? If you try to open the config area, make no change, and save it, do you get the same issue?
How do you define the infinite loop? Any errors? or it simply doesn't load?

I found the error. The infinite loop occurs when you change the language. If
I leave the English language works correctly but if I put the language
to Spanish (mine) or I put it by default(Spanish too, by default) creates an infinite loop.

Again there is an infinite loop.
This time has been produced in English and has been produced by simply changing the two links (joomla path - path backup). I pressed the Save button and now is in an infinite loop.
I do not understand the problem but I can not use XCloner.

Ok, please post here the details of your environment and we will have a test here, please mention
Operating system
Xampp version, 1.7.3?
any changes you have done to the Xampp server from defaults?

As a note, if you leave the configuration unchecked , are you able to generate a backup?

I fixed the url issue, hopefuly you can see it now
I have tested XCloner under XAMPP linux and it works without issues, we will have a go with the Windows hosting also
Were you able to generate backups without changing config?

-Does not work. I can not make any backup.
I have reinstalled everything from scratch:

1 .- click-save button. ==> 'Backup Start Path' and 'Backup Store Path' are modified.!!!
2.- click save button ==> infinite loop.
XCloner is the only component that fails. No other fails.
I have also windows 7. I'll try and check if fails.

in Windows 7 will not produce an infinite loop. xcloner not work well either because the link paths are modified ...
"Your backup directory C: mpphtdocsJoomlaadministratorbackups is not writeable or does not exists!"
