Thanks for your help, Ovidiu.

In Windows XP SP3 (Spanish) -> still not working. Just click on the save button, it creates an infinite loop.

In Windows 7 -> Not sure yet.

I'll try to debug the error. It is very strange. Just happen to me?

PD. Sorry for my English -> google translator

...

A few minutes later ...

...

With the default settings, XCloner works well!!. Has the perfect backup.

That is, the only problem is when you press the save button to save the settings.

Once you click on the save button, the only way to continue is uninstalling XCloner (refreshing (firefox) quickly the page.)

Could you post some screenshots from your XCloner settings as you see them  before saving it?

I have tested again XCloner on a windows 7 with latest XAMPP and it works without issues, it's a little bit strange you get that redirection in the code, any chance you could post a screenshot of it also?

Are you making any changes to the settings before saving them? Could you detail them? I could probably help you better if we could access to your XAMPP installation to see the actual issue.

1º.- In Windows 7 (Spanish) ==> Works fine. You've corrected the links problems. Works fine!!! Ok. Perfect. Also very fast.

Therefore, the problem is with Windows XP.

Ovidiu: "Could you post some screenshots from your XCloner settings as you see them  before saving it?"

-The settings are the default settings XCloner. XAMPP, Joomla and Xcloner => newly installed.

links:

C:/xampp/htdocs/Joomla/

C:/xampp/htdocs/Joomla/administrator/backups

It might be some configuration error XAMPP?

I will copy XAMPP. From Windows 7 => a Windows XP…Within a few minutes to post again…one moment

….

I copied XAMPP from Windows 7 to Windows XP.

This copy (XAMPP + Joomla + XCloner) works perfectly in Windows 7, however, still does not work in Windows XP (on mine …).

Click the save button only once -> works fine. Click the save button again -> sometimes goes well and sometimes it creates an infinite loop.

I will look into testing this on windows XP, hopefully we will duplicate the issue. Any chance you might have some other software installed on that XP machine that might affect XAMPP/XCloner like an firewall/antivirus?

Did you happen to notice what is the redirect url when it happens?

I debug the code...(simple var_dump)

The infinite loop occurs in the file: cloner.functions.php

in the function: function config($option)

the problem: mosRedirect( 'index2.php?option='.$option."&task=config" , $msg); ==> infinite loop

I have seen that the variable '$option' is null.
var_dump($option) == NULL

I disabled the firewall and antivirus

Ok, please locate this function

function mosRedirect($url, $msg="")

and replace the

echo "<script>

with

echo "

Let me know what the output is when you try and save now the form! Ovidiu

You have to do anything else? This will solve?

window.location = 'index2.php?option=&task=config&mosmsg=Config succesfully updated…';

PD.Now you must click the save button twice to display the changes.

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong, the redirection url is the same as on the all hosts, including Windows 7, feel free to test it.

I forgot to ask, what browser have you been using on your XP install? Have you tried from another one and see if it helps?

Opera, Netscape, IE also fail...

mmm ... I do not know where is the error.
Tomorrow I'll try on another computer with Windows XP SP3 (Spanish)

Thank you very much for your help. Maybe my computer has a problem and make you waste your time (do not know how to say ... waste of time)
