I successfully used XCloner on the same server to restore backup, but since I have to move the site to another server is it possible to use XCloner to help in that?

Thanks,

Isabella

Hi Isabella, yes, XCloner can manage the restore to another server without issues, the restore procedure is the same.

Hope it helps! Ovidiu

Now I tried the automatic restore, but it did not end properly. So I tried to upload the 3 files via ftp.

Now I says that the backup file is already there and I cannot delete it, since it gives the following error:

DELE backup_2011-01-13_14-47_www.circolochitarristicoromano.it-sql-nodrop.tar
550 Access is denied.

What can I do?

thanks,

Isabella

Are you able to rename that file? If you are unable to delete it from the ftp client, try using your hosting provider control panel and delete it from their file manager, if it still fails you might have to ask them to delete that file for you or fix it's permissions

Now everything went fine except that in the home page on the template it appears (www.societadilinguisticaitaliana.org):

  • JFolder::files: Path is not a folder:

So, it appears that the language files (italian) were not installed, but I cannot install them since it gives the same error...all the time!

I am guessing you might still need to update some hard-coded paths there, do you have some module pointing to the location where that error is present?

If so, try and update it's paths and see if it helps!

There are a few forums topics on joomla.org site about this error, might want to check them out, ex: http://forum.joomla......?p=2292610

I get the error everywhere in the front end and backend. Now I am trying to copy files using the ftp in XCloner to see if it is some permission problems...because I did the restore some days ago and worked fine...

I get the following error:

XCloner Automatic Restore!

Could not connect to http://ftp.societadi.....aliana.org on port 21! Ftp connection has failed!
