Im trying to setup Xcloner and am having a small issue.
Im currently hosted on a godaddy windows server which I believe requires me to put absolute paths for this plugin...
My backup Store Path saves no problem but my Backup START path Always defaults back to "/" instead of whats in the box when I click save. Even if I edit the config file to my correct path, it doesnt work.
This is what they SHOULD be.
Backup Start Path: D:/Hosting/2640060/html/
Backup Store Path: D:/Hosting/2640060/html/xclone
This is what it looks like after I hit save:
Backup Start Path: /
Backup Store Path: D:/Hosting/2640060/html/xclone
And then back on the status screen it looks like this...
Backup Start Path Check: Directory is not readable (/)
Anyone have any suggestions on this? My website is not in the /public_html/ folder on my server. Is this going to be a problem for this plugin?
Thanks.
Hi Nick! Usually that path default to / when the script is unable to locate it(incorrect, unreadable), when installing XCloner for the first time, how did the paths look? Try using windows paths like D:\\Hosting\\... and see if it helps!
Could you post a screenshot after your XCloner Config->INFO tab?

Any suggestions for my issue above? I linked a screen shot to it.
To explain the problem quickly again, my site is not in the Public_html folder, its in the root directory. "D:/hosting/2640060/html/" is the root directory that I need to set so that I can select my whole site to backup. The problem is, when I set that in the General settings area and click save, it just always defaults back to "d://" or just "/" and ofcourse when I go to backup and select files, theres nothing there because I dont have access to the whole server.
Any suggestions?

I realize its a bad idea to have the whole site in the root directory but the guy who made my site set it up this way. I know moving everything to the public_html folder would aleviate this problem, but I don't know how hard/problematic that would be.
Any help would be great. Thanks 🙂
Hi Nick, try and adjust your Backup Start Path to "D:/hosting/2640060/html/", also , make sure you create the administrator/backups directory inside it as mentioned in our wiki, so make sure this path exists "D:/hosting/2640060/html/administrator/backups"

The administrator / backup folder is in place.
The problem im having is when I set what you suggested... "D:/hosting/2640060/html/" and click SAVE, I get no error and it looks like it saves but when the page refreshs, it makes the path "/" instead of "D:/hosting/2640060/html/" like i just entered.
Could you try and use the windows path like D:\hosting\2640060\html , also make sure you are using the latest versin of php, we are using the php http://php.net/manua..... function to render that path, an older version might not working correctly for windows hosts.
Let me know if you still have issues and we will look more into it! Ovidiu
