K, i will need to look more into this, unfortunatelly our windows test machine is a Win 7 with WAMP, i am guessing you are running IIS as server?
For now, to fix the issue, you can edit the wp-content/plugins/xcloner-backup-and-restore/common.php file and look for this line
$_CONFIG['backup_path'] = realpath($_CONFIG['backup_path'])."/";
replace it(comment) with
#$_CONFIG['backup_path'] = realpath($_CONFIG['backup_path'])."/";
Hope it helps! Ovidiu

Yeah, IIS server. I've been having a lot of issues on the wnidows servers with godaddy.com and was reading that maybe I should switch it to a Linux server, but was unsure how the whole process would work and if my site would still work afterwords.
So what exactly will commenting it out let me do? Will I be able to do complete site backups still?
Thanks a lot for all your help. 🙂

It worked! Kind of :/
It accepted that path and now I can actually start to generate the backup where i can select directories for it to include, but now theres a new problem... Now it doesnt recognize the administrators/backup folder.
I've attatched 2 more SS's to show...
You can see here it finds the administrator\backups\ folder and it IS writeable, but then we click back to the main window...
Just for good measures I created the backup folder in both locations hoping it would work... "D:/Hosting/2640060/HTML/xclone/administrator/backups"
"D:/Hosting/2640060/HTML/administrator/backups"
And both are writeable.
Hi! Thanks for your prompt reply. I am new to this so I don't know where to find this common.php file. Constance
BTW - when I was checking out various plugins I chose xCloner because you are awesome when it comes to answering questions. Most of the other plugins don't seem to ever answer questions posted by their users. Thanks again!
