Doris,
Many (most?) backup and restore applications need working space. Typically making a batch of cookies takes a bowl, a backing sheet and a place to cool the cookies (3 separate spaces). Putting together a car can take up a lot of space on an assemble line because that was found to be the fastest way to get the car assembled process.
Working with your data can require some or all of the same size as the data you are backing up or restoring.
I hope that helps.

I understand all that; and I had plenty of space on both ends. My point is: the plugin doesn't work in my situation. I could have done all the zipping, unzipping, downloading, uploading, exporting and importing by myself without using the plugin, which I had to do even after trying to use the plugin.
The whole point of the plugin, I thought, was automation, to avoid all this "manual labor".
