Can you check in the View Backups section if any of the backups there are over 30MB? On some hosts, there is a file size limit and when that is reached, you might get that error, so try and check with your hosting support as well on this...

That's it! I set the 'Split Backup Archive if size larger than' to 25 MB and it worked!!!

Try and make your administrator/backups/ directory writeable by all users and see if it helps...

I get the same error as the others.

Details: error -- undefined
I already changed the "Split Backup Archive if size larger than" to a very small amount and the "Files to process per request" to 20 but it always stops at 14000 files!

Could you post a screenshot from your View Backups section as well? Have you checked if your hosting provider is limiting the file size that can be created? Also, if you try and exclude some of the large directories, do you get the same issue?

I'm getting the same JSON error.
I have reduced the file count to 10 and do not have any large files.
I try hitting retry many times as well, sometimes it works and goes on, sometimes it wont budge even after hitting retry 100 times.
This website is hosted on my local machine right now so there are no file size limitations or anything.

hello admin!
I'm trying to make a backup and it does not work for me 🙁
I resized Files to Process per request to 20
the proces stop after the line nutricio_joom 37 tables, it leaves everything below that empty (I do not se if there is sometnig going on or what?)
if I hit retry on the browser, then for a few moments I see the red line with the text There was an error.... (I've made a fast screenshot)
I checked out diskspace on server, it states : Disk Space Usage
365.93 / 5000 MB. Does it have to be bigger?
If I'm fast enought and click the red link click to rety-->, then I takes me back to the beginning (generate backup) and nothing hapens if I repeat the steps again....
In the posts before this one, you say that you must exclude large directories - what do you mean by large, do you have any numbers?

Some: you seem to have a permission error when writing to the backup archive, check that error message in red, seems to be a system error, make sure the adminstrator/backups folder is writeable by all users
maryStela: try and set the "Backup process mode" to Normal in XCloner Config System tab and see how it help.
