If anyone gets the error message: Unknown storage engine 'InnoDB'

Edit /etc/my.conf and delete or comment out this line if it exists:

skip-inndob

I have this error now after taking many successful backups in the past. Further explanation after the error message indicates that it cannot backup data in a particular folder which is called @eaDir and in the media folder. Both Joomla Media Manager and JCE browser show this folder but if I try to access it, I get an error "unable to access". If I look directly in the folder (I run my own server on my own network), the folder @eaDir is not actually present but presumably, the mySQL database thinks that it does exist? How can I go about convincing Joomla and xcloner that this folder does not exist and why is the folder there in the first place?

I can't creat a backup too. I get this message:

There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server, try again or contact the developers!

Details: error -- undefined

JSON url: index2.php?option=com_cloner&lines=17038&task=refresh&backup=backup_2013-02-01_10-46_www.plan-events.de-sql-nodrop.tar&excl_manual=

I tried the most things I read here but nothing worked. Any idea?

RogerD: are you able to see the @eaDir folder in the files list when generating a backup? if so, try an exclude it

Normen: you are probably running into a timeout, have you tried clicking the Retry link?

Thanks for your reply Mr "Admin", I have tried to exclude the Media folder in the backup but it still sees the file elsewhere. I wasn't aware that I could exclude particfular files so I will look closer at the options and tryt to backup again. I will report back with the result........

having now looked closer at the exclusion option, I have found the rogue folder (which is actually named @eaDir) in 4 places throughout the site and a successful backup has taken place with these unnecessary folders excluded. The question still remains as to what is it doing in these areas (all image folders) although I know that this is not an xcloner program. Thanks for your assistance in pointing me in the right direction to avoid the errors....................

You might want to check with your hosting support on this, you best solution to avoid the errors is to try and adjust permissions on those folders so they are readable by XCloner...

Hi there, I am also trying to backup my db and files on my hp solnischka.com and also the same error:

Initializing backup...

Backup /customers/5/1/0/solnischka.com/httpd.www/administrator/backups/backup_2013-09-25_07-21_www.solnischka.com-sql-nodrop.tar created, we may continue!

Database backup...

[solnischka_com] 100 tables (0.48 MB)

Filesystem backup...

Scanning files system... 22058

There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server, try again or contact the developers!

Details: error -- undefined

JSON url: index2.php?task=recurse_files&mode=&nohtml=1

Click to Retry >>

I already tried all Ihave read here, e.g. "files to process per request - reduced, Database records per request - reduced, Split Backup Archive if size larger than:..., Time between requests..., Backup Refresh Mode etc ", but nothing helps

I am running Joomla 1.5.26

p.s. perhaps some php problems??

Php open_basedir: /customers/5/1/0/solnischka.com/httpd.www:/customers/5/1/0/solnischka.com/httpd.private:/customers/5/1/0/solnischka.com/tmp:/customers/solnischka.com/solnischka.com:/var/www/diagnostics:/usr/share/php

This controls the paths your script is allowed to access, no value means it can access any path

exec() function support: DISABLED

If this function is disabled, you might want to uncheck Both 'Active' checkboxes from the General Tab - they are unchecked!!

--> hopefully someone has any ideas... thnx, Paulo

Try excluding some of the larger folders and see if it helps...
